Best Restaurants for Couples in the Twin Cities

Is it date night but you and your partner have been playing the "I don't know... Where do you want to eat?" game for the last 10 minutes? In this post, youll get recommendations for 6 top restaurants in the Twin Cities that are perfect for a night out.

Stop #1 - J.D. Hoyt's Supper club, minneapolis

My first date night recommendation is J.D. Hoyts Supper Club in Minneapolis. My significant other and I celebrate all of our big accomplishments here because the atmosphere is fun and approachable, and the food is kick butt. Plus it wont break the bank if youd like to get a good steak. You will definitely want to split a buddy bowl to start out the night.

Stop #2 - Hai Hai, Northeast Minneapolis

The next stop I recommend is Hai Hais in northeast Minneapolis. They serve southeastern Asian style street food that will knock your socks off including some of the best coconut jasmine rice I have ever tasted. The indoor decor is comfortable and welcoming with fresh plants in any free space possible. They do have a lot but parking can be a pain during their peakdining hours.

Stop #3 - mr. paul's, edina

You should also check out Mr. Pauls in Edina. This is a newer restaurant so dont be fooled by the number of reviews on google. They serve amazing steaks, seafood, and pasta. The restaurant is inspired by the chefs grandfather, Mr. Paul. If you sit in the far back dining room, you will even get to see art from Mr. Pauls personal collection. The pickles and popovers appetizer boards is one of my favorites of all time.

stop #4 - All Saints, minneapolis

Another of the top date night restaurants is All Saints back over in northeast Minneapolis. All Saints is a veggie forward, meat friendly restaurant so you will see a new mix of options here. The charred cucumbers are AMAZING.

Id definitely recommend making a reservation before checking out this restaurant though because they are busy. Always.

stop #5 - Marna's eatery & lounge, robbinsdale

Another cool spot that you and your partner should check out is Marnas Eatery and Lounge in Robbinsdale. If you have seen my previous video about the best neighborhoods for young couples, you will learn a little bit more about the city of Robbinsdale!

Marnas serves Costa Rican inspired cuisine that has an incredible flavor. I always eat my weight in the fried plantains! The whole vibe of the restaurant makes you feel like you are on vacation in Costa Rica too- its super authentic.

stop #6 - broder's pasta bar, minneapolis

Last but certainly not least, you and your partner HAVE TO try Broders Pasta Bar in South Minneapolis. A 4.6 star rating on google with over 1,111 reviews doesnt lie.

Broders is cozy and super romantic and serves handmade, fresh pasta. They even offer a special date night deal from, 8-9pm that is only $40 (thats two, salads, and two entrees). This stop does NOT accept reservations though so plan extra time to wait before you are seated.
